Crawford by unanimous Board of Education vote. Pending Board approval on June 17, 2021 and contract acceptance, Crawford could begin the new role in Summit County. With 43 years of experience in education, Crawford joins Summit School District from his role as Superintendent of Schools in Vinalhaven School in Maine and previously served as Superintendent of Schools of Manitou Springs School District for six years. Crawford also holds a unique, culturally diverse educational leadership background as Head of Schools in Malta and Cambodia. The Board of Education would like to thank all the qualified candidates for their time and interest in the Interim Superintendent search process. Summit School District continued to retain the consulting services of McPherson & Jacobson LLC to assist in the Interim Superintendent Search as part of the previous contract. The search for an Interim Superintendent did not incur the District additional costs, other than nominal travel expenses. The consultant reviewed, screened, and conducted extensive reference checks on applicants.
