Advisory to the Superintendent
Hello SSD Scholars and Families,
Summit School District would like to thank all families and scholars who expressed interest in joining one of the Advisories to the Superintendent. The district has reviewed all form responses and contacted families and scholars directly.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the scholars who provided feedback in the scholar survey opportunity in September; we appreciate hearing your insights and learning about your experiences with Blended Learning. Here is a report of the scholar responses.
Meeting dates have been scheduled for:
Scholar Advisory - October 28 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM
Family Advisory in English - October 27 from 5:30 - 7 PM
Family Advisory in Spanish - October 28 from 5:30 - 7 PM
Meeting details have been provided directly with Advisory members.
Since becoming superintendent, Dr. Marion Smith Jr. continues to offer and expand scholar and family engagement opportunities. As an additional outreach strategy to hear and learn from different voices, Dr. Smith will convene three (3) separate advisory groups:
1. Scholars Advisory to the Superintendent,
2. Families Advisory to the Superintendent- English language, and
3. Families Advisory to the Superintendent- Spanish language.
The goal of the Advisory groups is to formalize accountability, to provide feedback and to make recommendations to the Superintendent about what is best to meet the needs of our scholars and families.

Asesorías al Superintendente
Estimadas Familias y Estudiantes del SSD:
Al Distrito Escolar Summit le gustaría agradecer a las familias y a los estudiantes que expresaron interés en unirse a una de las Asesorías al Superintendente. El Distrito ha revisado todas las respuestas y ha contacto a las familias y a los estudiantes directamente.
Nos gustaría tomar esta oportunidad para agradecer a los estudiantes que dieron su retroalimentación en la oportunidad de la encuesta académica de Septiembre, nosotros apreciamos el tiempo del estudiante y la opinión de su experiencia con el Aprendizaje Combinado. Aquí hay un reporte de las respuestas del estudiante.
Las fechas de las reuniones han sido programadas para:
Asesoría Académicas - Octubre 28 de 3:30 a 5:00 p.m.
Asesoría Familiar en Inglés - Octubre 27 de 5:30 a 7:00 p.m.
Asesoría Familiar en Español - Octubre 28 de 5:30 a 7:00 p.m.
Los detalles de la reunión han sido dados directamente a los miembros de la Asesoría.
Desde que llegó a ser Superintendente, el Dr. Marion Smith Jr. continúa ofreciendo y expandiendo las oportunidades del compromiso familiar y académico. Como una estrategia adicional mejor para oír y aprender de las voces diferentes, el Dr. Smith reunió tres grupos separados de asesoría:
Asesoría Académica para el Superintendente
Asesoría Familiar para el Superintendente – lenguaje en inglés y
Asesoría Familiar para el Superintendente – lenguaje en español
La meta de los grupos de Asesoría es para formalizar la responsabilidad, al proveer retroalimentación para hacer recomendaciones al Superintendente acerca de cómo reunir mejor las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes y de las familias.
