Hello SSD Families and Staff,
As we hope our families are enjoying the long weekend filled with beautiful fall colors, we want to thank our staff and families for continuing to stay home when you or your child are sick and calling your school to report the symptoms. We are grateful for your partnership to keep our buildings healthy and open.
If you or your child is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please get a FREE COVID-19 test by calling 970-668-5584. You must call 970-668-5584 prior to arriving at a testing site.
If you have symptoms, a doctor's note is not needed to get tested. COVID-19 testing for those who are uninsured/underinsured will be covered at no out-of-pocket cost, and those with all forms of public and private insurance, including self-funded plans, the insurance company will be billed.
If you or your child is sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please:
Stay home.
Call your school and report the symptoms.
Get Tested.
See a doctor if the COVID-19 test is negative or symptoms are not gone in 24 hours.
Testing is important in identifying infections and stopping the spread of the novel coronavirus. Summit County is continually working with providers to ensure that anyone in our community who is symptomatic, or falls into a risk category and is asymptomatic, may easily receive a test.
